Your Guide to the Trims of the 2025 Silverado 1500
The Chevy Silverado 1500 is one of the most popular full-size trucks on the market for a wide range of reasons, including its powerful engines, impressive capabilities, and stunning design. When you go looking for a 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 for sale, however, you'll quickly discover that another reason this pickup is so popular is that there are many different trims for you to choose from.
This means you can find pretty much anything you are looking for in your next truck, though that may also mean you could become overwhelmed by all of these options; don't worry, though, because we're here to help. Let's take a look at all nine trim levels available for the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 and see what each has to offer.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 WT
This is the starting point for the Chevy Silverado 1500, and while it can work great for many drivers, it's generally best for fleets or if you prefer to keep things as simple as possible. It starts with a TurboMax engine that provides 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you prefer, there's a 355-hp 5.3L V8 engine available with a 10-speed automatic (all engines but the TurboMax come with this transmission). This model comes with 17-inch wheels and all-season tires, with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) available to choose from.
Features on the WT are quite simple, including black front and rear bumpers, though you do get a CornerStep rear bumper that makes it easy to get in and out of the bed. A locking tailgate, black door handles, and black manually adjustable side mirrors are all standard. Inside, you'll find a seven-inch infotainment display, a six-speaker sound system, and a 3.5-inch monochromatic Driver Information Center screen. Vinyl seating is standard in the WT with four-way manual front seats, rubberized vinyl floor covering, and remote keyless entry. Overall, this is a good place to start, and every other trim builds upon its features.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 Custom
The Custom trim has a lot in common with the WT but also brings some exterior and interior upgrades to the table. For starters, you get 20-inch wheels on this truck along with body-color front and rear bumpers for added style. The Custom has heated power-adjustable outside mirrors and an EZ Lift tailgate with power lock and release for easy access to the bed of your truck. Inside, the Custom offers many of the same tech features as the WT, along with cloth seating, including a 10-way power driver's seat. You get remote start functionality with this trim, making it easier to get going in the morning, plus more great features to enhance your time on the road.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss
If you like the features of the Custom trim but you want to take your truck off-road, then this is one to check out. The Custom Trail Boss has many of the same features as the Custom, including the interior displays, 10-way power driver's seat, and remote start functionality. What sets this apart, however, is the Z71 Suspension with a two-inch factory lift; this includes Rancho monotube shocks that are perfect for rough terrain, plus enhanced ground clearance. Every Custom Trail Boss trim comes with 4WD, ensuring you have a truck that's ready to leave the city behind and take you wherever you want to go.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 LT
Next up, we have the LT, which is an important one to note if you want enhanced cabin features. The LT gives you a much more refined experience thanks to innovative technology, including a 13.4-inch infotainment system with Google Built-In. You get a 12.3-inch color Driver Information Center, giving you two displays that are far superior to the standard ones, plus dual-zone automatic climate control for added comfort. You also get a heated steering wheel inside the LT, plus more great features to enhance your time on the road each day.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss
In much the same way the Custom Trail Boss adds impressive off-road functionality to the Custom trim, the LT Trail Boss builds on the features of the LT. This trim gives you the same great tech, including the larger displays, the heated front seats, and much more to enjoy. Just like with the other Trail Boss trim, you get the Z71 Suspension Package, which means you get a two-inch factory lift along with Rancho monotube shocks that are perfect for all kinds of off-road conditions. With standard 4WD and large 20-inch wheels, the LT Trail Boss is a terrific choice if you love the great outdoors.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 RST
The RST is a stylish and sophisticated option with great features to enjoy inside and out, building upon what you'll find in the LT trim. You have a lot of different engines available for the RST, including a powerful 420-hp 6.2L V8 and a 3.0L Turbo-Diesel, so this is a great one if you want the freedom to pick from different powertrains. The RST has 18-inch Bright Silver wheels, heated power-adjustable outside mirrors, and body-color door handles for a subtle touch of style. This is a great pick if you like the LT but want enhanced overall looks.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 LTZ
With the LTZ, you get a number of upgrades. For starters, the 20-inch Sterling Silver wheels look stunning, along with chrome door handles and front and rear bumpers. One of our favorite touches is the power up/down tailgate on the LTZ, which you can open or close with the push of a button on your key fob. Inside, the LTZ has a seven-speaker Bose Premium sound system, perforated leather seating, and 10-way power front seats that are heated and ventilated for added comfort. Though not the highest trim for the Silverado 1500, this is close to it and a terrific choice.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 ZR2
If you want serious comfort, impressive tech, and unbeatable off-road performance, then the ZR2 trim is what you've been looking for. This beast is offered with the Turbo-Diesel or 6.2L V8 engine, with standard 4WD and the ZR2 Suspension Package. Its high-performance lifted suspension has exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers for incredible capabilities in all kinds of conditions. You get 18-inch wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires, while numerous skid plates protect its underside. All of this is joined by a sophisticated interior with large displays, the Bose sound system, perforated leather seating, and more great features.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 High Country
The pinnacle trim for the Silverado 1500 is the High Country, and it's the perfect expression of everything this remarkable truck has to offer. For starters, you've got 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with Charcoal-colored pockets that look stunning, along with body-color bumpers, six-inch chrome rectangular wheel-to-wheel assist steps, and a spray-on bedliner. Inside, you'll find perforated leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, and a wireless charging pad for compatible devices. If you're looking to transform your time on the road into something you'll look forward to, then this is an amazing choice.
Are You Ready to Find the Perfect Silverado?
As you can see, each of these trims has its strengths and impressive features, and choosing the right one depends on your needs. If you like simple standard features with a lot to offer, then consider the WT, Custom, and LT trims. For enhanced features inside and out, take a good look at the RST, LTZ, and High Country trim levels. If you want something that will let you conquer trails, then the Trail Boss trims and the ZR2 should be at the top of your list.
